Caisa's Art Education Open Call for the fall season 2025
The mission of Culture Center Caisa is to highlight diversity and promote inclusion in Helsinki through art and culture. Caisa's art education builds equality and equal opportunities in the field of art education. Caisa's art education creates structures, service paths and networks between different actors in Helsinki; develop methods and models in art education; identify and involve underrepresented actors and audiences.
We are looking for proposals for Caisa's art education that are pedagogically justified, original and support and/or strive to develop a diversity and inclusion perspective in art education.
We estimate
- The proposal as a whole.
- How the proposal contributes to our mission.
- How the proposal fits into our art education whole.
- Pedagogical goals of the proposal.
- Content areas of the proposal.
- How the content of the proposal and the presented pedagogical goals lineup.
- How the proposal takes into account the age group and the target audience.
- How the proposal identifies and involves underrepresented actors and audiences.
- How community-based approach is taken into account in the proposal.
We read for your benefit
- Pedagogical qualification and previous art education experience.
- Professional skills and knowledge related to teaching the content area and the art form.
- Experience in diversity and inclusion work.
- Personal knowledge of the target group.
We require
- Commitment to our Safer Space principles.
- Commitment to a sensitive, boundary-recognizing and respectful approach to.
- A criminal record extract from working with children, to the extent that the law (504/2002, § 2-3) requires it.
